My Favorite Place

I've done quite a bit of traveling in my life to this point. My favorite place that i've visited has to be New Orleans. I went in 2004, one year before Hurricane Katrina devastated the city, and had a wonderful time. I enjoyed the Cajun food, Jazz music, and overall laid back atmosphere of New Orleans. I spent most of my time exploring the French Quarter and experiencing all that the culture of New Orleans has to offer. Though I went in July and the weather was unbelievably hot, the people were extremely friendly and accommodating. Southern hospitality at its finest! I sincerely hope that all parts of New Orleans, not just the French Quarter, will be restored to its original state prior to Katrina.

  1. I remember talking to you about this in class, and i almost forgot New Orleans was very famous for their Cajun food haha! I think you're very fortunate to have been able to explore the city Pre-Hurricane Katrina. Did you ever donate any money to relief funds post Katrina?

  2. At first I didn't think I would like Cajun because i'm a picky eater, but I ended up liking it! I did donate money to the Red Cross post-Katrina. I had to - it was unbelievable to me to see the complete destruction of a city I had visited and enjoyed such a short time ago.
